Exciting news from our portfolio company Brelyon.
Founded by scientists from MIT, UCF, DARPA, and IMAX, Brelyon uses computational optics to produce a virtual image that feels far larger and deeper than the physical screen in front of you.
At CES 2026, they launched two new products: the Ultra Reality Mini, which fits a 55-inch virtual screen into a 16-inch monitor with a built-in personal sound bubble, and the Visual Engine, a software platform that adds real-time depth to any video content without touching the underlying application or codebase.
A few highlights from 2026 so far:
– First distributor deal closed in Korea
– First close of the A+ convertible note round, anchored by Lockheed Martin and Universal Display Corporation
– Patent portfolio now at 62 patents, with 40 granted
– Second production model ready for market
– Visual Engine platform launching commercially in Q2 2026
Backed by Lockheed Martin Ventures, LG Technology Ventures, Corning, and Universal Display Corporation, Brelyon is proving that headset-free immersive computing is not a niche; it is where the industry is heading.
Congratulations to Barmak Heshmat and the entire Brelyon team on an outstanding start to 2026.
