Propel(x) Portfolio Company Trailhead Biosystems Launches Innovative iPSC-Derived Hematopoietic Progenitor Cells.
We’re thrilled to announce Propel(x) portfolio company Trailhead Biosystems: the release of their latest product, TrailBio® iPSC-derived Hematopoietic Progenitor Cells (HPCs). This launch marks a major milestone, showcasing Trailhead’s commitment to advancing cell-based research and therapies.

Trailhead’s Mesoderm Team, led by Angelica M. Gomes Ueltschy, PhD, developed TrailBio® HPCs. They used a novel High-Dimensional Design of Experiments (HD-DoE) approach to create an efficient and reproducible process. This method enables the robust induction of hemogenic endothelium and the generation of homogeneous early-stage hematopoietic progenitor cells.
Key features of TrailBio® HPCs include:
– Validated for key markers: Ensuring quality and consistency with validation for CD34, CD43, and CD90.
– Ready-to-use: Designed for immediate integration into your research workflows.
– Designed for reproducibility: Delivering consistent results across different lots.
– Multipotent potential: Offering the ability for customized downstream differentiation into various blood lineages.
These versatile cells are ideal for a range of critical applications, including disease modeling, drug discovery, and toxicology studies.
