Due Diligence

Due diligence is the process of investigating, evaluating and assessing an investment, whether in a fund or directly in a company. The due diligence investigation will cover the people involved (the team), the market opportunity, the business strategy, intellectual property (IP), finances and projections, operations, etc. Registered Broker Dealers are required to perform due diligence on all of the deals that it offers.
